5 Million Lights Across Downtown Gatlinburg
From early November through February, Gatlinburg transforms into one of the largest holiday light displays in the Southeast — more than 5 million LEDs covering the downtown Parkway, side streets, and surrounding hillsides. The Winter Magic Celebration includes themed light installations, the Festival of Trees, nightly trolley light tours, and the iconic Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade in early December.
A short drive from Smith Creek Resort — Gatlinburg Winter Magic is a must-do for any winter Smokies visit.

What to Expect: 5+ million LED lights throughout downtown Gatlinburg, themed light displays, Festival of Trees, trolley light tours, and weekend events.
Do’s: Take the Winter Magic Trolley Tour for the best overview, bring warm clothing, and stop along the Parkway for hot chocolate and shopping.
Don’ts: Don’t expect quick parking on weekend evenings — use satellite lots and the free trolley.
